Macnica

Claremont Graduate University and Macnica, Inc. have signed a Letter of Intent to explore a strategic collaboration focused on human-centered AI through CISAT and the Drucker School of Management. The partnership was born out of shared conversations at Macnica’s Exponential Technology (MET) Forum in Japan, where CGU’s Dr. Itamar Shabtai and Dr. David Sprott joined industry leaders to examine the accelerating role of AI across sectors. The collaboration explores research, education, leadership development, and applied innovation — including the potential establishment of an AI for Humanity Research Institute at CGU.

Claremont Graduate University has a comprehensive partnership with Esri, the world’s leading GIS software company. CGU hosts a designated Esri Development Center — one of the first of its kind — located 30 miles from Esri’s headquarters in Redlands, CA. The partnership supports teaching, research, and development of state-of-the-art GIS applications, and includes scholarships, student recognition awards, and access to cutting-edge geospatial tools. Through CISAT, faculty and students actively collaborate with Esri on research spanning healthcare, AI, cybersecurity, and public good initiatives.
