The Evaluation Research & Practice (ERP) lab attempts to examine three evaluation related topics that include:

  • the influence of politics on the evaluation process
  • the potential use of crowdsourcing in mixed methods
  • the development of effective data visualization approaches

A dedicated research agenda is attached to each of these topic areas that explores specific issues such as the effects of the political context on the credibility and influence of evaluation findings, the use of crowdsourcing as a source for creating matched group designs, and the optimal designs for program theories and logic models for different audiences and purposes.

The ERP lab aims to contribute to evaluation theory and practice by offering empirically supported insights about the nature of evaluation practice and how to address some of the common challenges that evaluators face in the real world.
