Laura Burgis is a developmental psychologist, scholar-practitioner, and educator whose work focuses on how organizations and learning communities are designed, led, and governed to support collective well-being and to optimize human and planetary flourishing. Her scholarship and applied work sit at the intersection of organizational psychology and community development, with particular emphasis on culture transformation. A distinctive focus of her work is the development of learning communities that foster collective wellbeing and ecological belonging — an emerging and transdisciplinary frontier.

She is founder and Executive Director of the Human Values Center, a nonprofit public-benefit corporation that partners with universities, public agencies, nonprofits, and global networks for organizational- and systems-level social impact.
In service, Laura is an active member of the Higher Education Wellbeing Project (WHEN), a global initiative anchored by Georgetown University; a board trustee of the ACPA International Higher Education Association; she serves as Chairman of the Global Charter for Compassion board of directors and holds a new appointment to the UK-based Flourishing Project Learning Lab.
