Fragment of “Mourning Athena” Relief


Description:
A fragment of a marble relief depicting the goddess Athena, excavated in Athens. The fragment was gifted to a Danish family who held it for over a century. In 2006, members of the Svenstrup/Dahl family reached out to the Greek government to return the fragment their ancestors had received.
