The Getting to Optimal Aging & Longevity (GOAL) Research Lab studies health-promoting and risk behaviors across the lifespan that influence aging and longevity during older adulthood. GOAL comprises a high-level interdisciplinary team, working together to identify and research strategic points across the life course that impact population-based health trajectories. Additionally, the research lab provides practical interventions and informs health policy based on sound evidence that optimizes health.
GOAL is currently focusing on 4 priority research areas: cognitive reserve, ageism, social capital, and precision health across the life course. We are forming an interest list and building teams around these study topics. If you are interested in being part of this initiative, please complete the Interest Survey.
