GOAL has a number of opportunities for like-minded individuals, working together to conduct high-level research on key areas across the life course that impacts population-based health trajectories and fosters optimal longevity. Additionally, teams are encouraged to develop practical interventions and sensible health policies.
Student Opportunities
- Develop integrated literature reviews on key public health topics in aging and life span development.
- Collaborate with faculty and other scholars in the field of aging research.
- Work with quantitative and qualitative data, including large datasets such as the Health and Retirement Study, National Study of Caregiving, All of Us, and the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.
- Gain practical experience working with a multi-disciplinary team on writing grants and submitting funding applications.
- Assist with manuscript preparation and co-author publishable peer-reviewed articles.
- Present their research at national and local conferences.
