Project Overview
San Bernardino County is implementing a Hub-and-Spoke maternal health care model to improve access to prenatal services for families living in the High Desert region, an area with elevated fetal and infant mortality rates. The model will utilize telehealth consultations, enhanced prenatal monitoring, and supportive services to connect high-risk patients with specialists and delivery care to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). The student would design and implement an evaluation framework for this initiative to assess whether the program improves prenatal care access, retention in care, and maternal–infant outcomes.
