ICDC – Student Recruitment for Summer 2026

The Inland Cyber Defense Clinic (ICDC) is excited to announce a recruitment for its inaugural Summer 2026 cohort. This is a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity AI risk management while working on real-world challenges.

ICDC is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application, equipping students with the skills needed to address today’s evolving cyber threats.

Why Apply?

Participants in the clinic will have to opportunity to:

  • Engage in hands-on cybersecurity training
  • Work on real-world client projects
  • Receive professional mentorship and certification opportunities
  • Earn internship credit (volunteer hours applicable)
  • Gain experience supporting vulnerable and underserved communities

Focus Area: Cybersecurity & AI Risk Management

Students will explore topics at the intersection of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and risk, preparing them for emerging challenges in both technical and policy driven environments.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome students from:

  • Students interested in cybersecurity, AI integration, risk management, public policy, or research
  • Individuals from multidisciplinary backgrounds
  • Students across all Claremont Colleges and neighboring institutions
  • Those with no prior clinic experience (training will be provided)
