As a priest it has been a lot. It helped me out a lot to help people. More than anything how important it is for one to maintain oneself worthy in order to exercise the priesthood. For example, to bless people. I remember of two experiences more or less. For example, a sister called me and she said, “Can you give me a blessing for my father’s health?” His foot had been suffering. So she tells me… I did, with all guarantee, so that… so that he will be healed and all that. So that person healed, and they were about to amputate his foot, and he healed.
Also, on [another] opportunity, they called me to provide a blessing of healing for a little girl, who had fallen on her head at a park.
And then… they were not doing so well. She fell on a Saturday and that night I gave her the blessing and all day Sunday. She entered surgery on Monday night and her skull was dented. So people were asking why, she should have, let’s say, she should have been dead. But they said, “Why did she last so long?” So, right then and there we realized that in that moment… her mother and says, “What a power! How powerful is the priesthood! My daughter, thanks to the blessing of health, is alive.” So one feels at times, [and] says, “No, thank you to God.” [One] gives thanks to the Lord for wellbeing and for being able to have the priesthood to help people.
