Yes, I can truly say that the hand of the Lord has been with us, because in one way or another there have always been people around us who have helped us, who have supported us and cared for us. We met a foreigner who had a construction job in Rivas building a hotel.
Nelson didn’t work directly with him, but Nelson helped him and the man paid him a little money every fortnight and that was a great blessing because we didn’t have any consistent work. And our house was made of sheet metal and he came and said, “Look, I can build your whole house and then you work for me and I’m not going to pay you because that’s how I’m going to pay for the house.” That was wonderful, because we would never have built our house otherwise as we had no money. So he came and brought materials and built our house and so we stayed on working with him. That was a blessing.
