Read Oral History #229. Available in English.

My first child is eleven. My second is eight. And they are staying in my home village. And it’s so very difficult. They are staying with someone I hired because I can’t take them with me now. My father passed away last month. They were staying with my dad, so now there’s no one at home. So I hired a person who I pay every month. I buy groceries for my kids and everything. When I’m off work once in a while, I’ll go home and check if they are ok and everything. But I want to stay with them. They are a blessing.

I’m also taking care of my brother’s son. He’s the same age as my son. My brother is in jail. It’s just a mess. We tend to get down when things are not working our way. But the time you think your life is a mess, it’s when the Lord is preparing something good for you. So everything that is happening now in my life, it’s so…. Sometimes I say, “Oh, I can’t take this anymore.” Because my dad passed away and the following week my aunt. It’s so stressful. I can’t deal with this. But sometimes when you’ve got people who have faith, they inspire you a lot. Living with my sister, she inspired me a lot.
