Emily is a 2nd-year PhD student in the Evaluation and Applied Research Methods program. Prior to starting graduate school, she worked in various roles in the afterschool & expanded learning sector where she co-led research that informed federal advocacy efforts and developed & implemented evaluation plans for non-profit organizations. She chose to pursue graduate studies to further her expertise in conducting high-quality evaluation and exploring research on evaluation. Currently, she is the Communications Chair for the Research on Evaluation Topical Interest Group for the American Evaluation Association. Her research interests focus on unpacking what mindsets and attitudes support individuals in thinking evaluatively.
