The mission of the Rho Chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) at Claremont Graduate University, Center for Information Systems and Technology (CISAT) exists to promote the computing and information disciplines and to encourage their contributions to the advancement of technical knowledge and innovation.
UPE consists of over 300 chapters in various colleges and universities in North America and overseas. UPE is the first and only existing international honor society to exist in the Computing and Information disciplines, receiving endorsements from the two largest computer organizations in the world, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS). UPE is also a charter member of The International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES).
UPE honors society membership is exclusively reserved for students achieving a GPA of 3.6 or higher in at least one full-time term of graduate coursework at Claremont Graduate University, Center for Information Systems and Technology or two semesters’ of full-time undergraduate coursework in computing and technology at the Claremont Colleges.
