(Jalbas) I built four chapels: Friburgo, Terezópolis… And Engenho de Dentro. Terezópolis, Friburgo, and Engenho de Dentro. No, there were four churches. Meier, right? And the renovation of Madureira.

For a long time I would enter the tenders and I would win. As I was the only member of the church, there was a certain adversity from the other competitors who lost the tender, because I had never had that experience. I reached the point of giving up building for the church, to stop. Stop building for the church. Because I had my other private enterprises, the buildings that I built. Later, I did some renovations for the church’s Association, of chapels ─ Terezópolis and in Friburgo, here in Rio de Janeiro. Rio de Janeiro, right? Until I finished my life building buildings for myself, as a developer with the company called, by chance, Stake Real Estate Ventures. Very well. And I was baptized.

(José) Before talking about the baptism, I wanted to mention a detail that I think you’ll like. He had the leaders who worked on the construction of the chapels here in Rio de Janeiro, to whom he had to be accountable, right, dad? And there were the superiors from São Paulo, and who were they? Alcides.

(Jalbas) And the current apostle, Elder Soares. With Elder Soares, I would cry with sorrow. When I felt impaired, really impaired, by interests that I don’t know what they were, I decided to stop building. And I went to talk to Elder Soares, that I no longer wanted to build for the church, something like that. But I wanted to receive what was due to me. And he promptly, he saw the situation. I was being impaired by church employees here in Rio, by third-party interests that I don’t know what they are. But I thought it was better to stop the construction and so I did. Building in Rio de Janeiro. But I built four chapels. And the many others that appeared.
