I was done wearing a skirt. I just wanted to wear pants, and in the MTC I had to wear a skirt. So I wanted to look for a different job because I graduated before as first bilingual secretary. So I wanted to work as a secretary first; I did not want to go the MTC again. Besides, those nineteen days I was in the MTC were terrible because I almost went crazy being enclosed inside, in spite of the fact that we were studying and learning, I do not like to be closed up in one place. Anyway, the brother called me with the last name Fuentes, and I said to him, “No thank you.”
I kept looking for a job and eight days later he called me again and said, “Chinita, the job is waiting for you,” and I said, “No thank you, I do not want it, thanks.” But after a month and a half trying to find a job, and the MTC kept calling me to come work for them, I said, “Okay, I will come in for an interview.” When I got there, my spouse was the one who interviewed me; he already worked there. He asked me some questions, asked me to teach him one of the lessons, and that was the end of the interview and he said that they would call me later. Three days later they called me and said, “Chinita, you have the job. Come to work.”
