I went to boarding school, one boarding school and I never changed. It was a government school, but it was a nice provincial school. And for university, I didn’t go to university. After finishing high school, I don’t know what happened. I think I was a bit wild and I became pregnant. Just immediately after finishing high school, the next year, I got pregnant.
I was nineteen. I was studying here in Nairobi, and I could come every day from Monday to Friday.
I was doing Business Studies. So I became pregnant and I had to stop schooling. My dad was like, “After you give birth, you’re going to do nursing.”
Now he had to choose something for me. I didn’t have a choice anymore. So after that, I gave birth. One month after giving birth, I had to go for an interview and it was not here in Nairobi, I had to go to … it’s in Western. So Western Kenya; had to travel at night.
