It changed so much. They said that the church members were from the [United States] CIA. When the revolution happened, the revolutionaries won. And they took over the church building and stole everything, stole chairs, the piano, curtains, everything from the church. Brother R___ was taken prisoner, they had him on a rooftop in a house, in the middle of the sun. Poor Brother R___ was told to hand over the keys and my husband worked at that time in Luz y Fuerza, what is now Unión Fenosa. When he came home from work they told him that Brother R___ was in prison and told him that if he did not give up the keys, they would not release Brother R___.
So my husband handed over the keys and they [took] everything out …. How long was the Brother R__ in prison?
[Brother R___ was in prison for] two days, without eating and without drinking anything. They wanted to steal Brother R___’s business, since it was successful. But God protected him and he was not robbed. After that they took my husband to the military base, where all the armies were, and he was put to work repairing all the lights and things they had there. They took him to repair everything and left him there, and told him he had to walk there with a rifle, not to kill people but to guard. And they trained him as a sapper, to do things like tear down bridges.
