If someone said that that I was a member of an “American religion” I would respond that he/she is wrong by saying that. That this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ but not the Americans’ gospel. And I will point out that all of us are all God’s children, either black or white. We all have been bought by the blood of Jesus Christ…. Being a Latter-day Saint has great impact in my life.
Every morning, I get up, I kneel and pray, read scriptures and take notes of the things that I was going to do during the day. I apply in my everyday life all the teaching received during the Relief Society meetings. I have a quiet and harmonious everyday life. I can’t wait to go to the church every Sunday. I never thought that my three sons would be successful because of the church. They all have already done missions and have a full-time jobs. My husband and I have a happy marriage. We have grandchildren. I never expected to have such a happy family. I feel peaceful now.
