My main challenges in life have been unemployment and poverty when we just got married because my wife didn’t earn much. The other challenge was to take care of my sick father alone with my wife without the help of our family but only with his little pension. He died later because of his illness. So, my main challenges were poverty, unemployment and discrimination. When we joined the LDS church, we found joy, employment and peace. The way I coped with these challenges was to always pray to God, never give up and stay strong. My wife was very supportive. She continued to help, love me and pray for me. God replied to our prayer and gave me good jobs.

There is no important things I would have done differently in my life. As a human being, I’m just looking to have a peaceful and good life.

The story in the scriptures that means the most to me is Lehi’s vision of the tree of life. In his dream, he saw a rod of iron and a straight and narrow path leading to the tree of life. He saw many people walking on toward the path. Because of a mist of darkness some wandered off the path and became lost….Others held tightly to the iron rod and made it through the darkness to the tree. They taste the fruit. People in a large building on the other side of river made fun of those who ate the fruit. Some who wouldn’t eaten the fruit became ashamed and left the tree. Lehi saw many people in his dream some who went firmly to the iron rod and travel through the darkness to the to the fruit…They tasted the fruit…Others went to the building or drawn in a river or became lost…

Lehi is the person from the scripture who means the most to me because he stands until the end with God. He always listened and followed God commandment
