The mission of the Claremont Evaluation Center (CEC) is to provide services and to conduct research and evaluation to improve the effectiveness of a wide range of projects, programs, policies and organizations.
Using state of the art scientific knowledge and methodologies, CEC has served more than 150 different organizations in the past 15 years. CEC is an organized research and evaluation unit at the Claremont Colleges.
Under the leadership of Executive Director Stewart I. Donaldson and Co-Director Michael Scriven, and supported by Associate Directors Tarek Azzam and Tiffany Berry, the Claremont Evaluation Center houses many experts in evaluation and applied research. We are excited to work with you to make your project a success!
News: American Evaluation Association Honors CEC and TEI Faculty
Friday, November 3, 2017: The American Evaluation Association (AEA) announced that four Claremont Evaluation Center (CEC) and The Evaluators’ Institute (TEI) faculty have been honored with major awards.
- Stewart I. Donaldson (Executive Director of the Claremont Evaluation Center & TEI faculty member) received the 2017 Robert Ingle Service Award
- Michael Quinn Patton (Distinguished Professor of Practice at CEC, TEI faculty member, & Founder and Director of Utilization-Focused Evaluation) received the 2017 AEA Research on Evaluation Award
- Stephanie Evergreen (TEI faculty member & CEO of Evergreen Data) received the 2017 AEA Alva and Gunnar Myrdal Evaluation Practice Award
- Tessie Catsambas (TEI faculty member & CEO of EnCompass LLC) was elected President of the American Evaluation Association
